What If I'm Right is a song about alcohol addiction, leaving a toxic relationship, and putting yourself first instead of others, when you live with an addict, you want to be the cure, you try to stop their addiction, and it's exhausting. I wrote this song about an alcoholic parent when they relapsed, cause my childhood trauma started resurfacing and I didn't know what to do, I couldn't tell anyone. So I put it in this song.
I decided to repost the second part of What If I'm Right because this is the best part of the song but I noticed in my Analytics that no one got to hear it. Makes sense, it has a really slow build up and is fully acapella, and the harmonies don't kick in until the second pre-chorus.
This part, however, contains a strong message: the realisation that you have to live your life for you, no one else, the realisation that the situation isn't okay and it's time to move on.
