Some people have described that life in Hawaii is sometimes like living in a theme park or Disneyland. In some ways, it can be for many locals. However, I wanted to add two more analogies on what life in Hawaii can be like: one literary analogy and one analogy I got from a dream. As someone who is from Hawaii and has been living here most of my life, it's sometimes hard to explain the nuances of the local culture to those who aren't from here. Likewise, maybe those who have lived here their entire lives don't often think about our culture and why we do the things we do. I hope these analogies help to explain how life in Hawaii can be. It doesn't mean that it will be like this for everyone, but if you've been here long enough, I'd hope that you can at least see where I'm coming from.
