Someone stole my sunglasses.
So I sprinted up a mountain ready to fight them.
My wife gifted me those sunglasses.
When I came back from the waterfall and they were gone, I lost it.
Started running. Full speed up these stairs.
Within minutes my lungs were burning. Heart pounding in my throat. Thought I was going to drop dead.
But my brain didn't care.
It wanted those sunglasses back. So I kept running.
Ten minutes of pure insanity I didn't think was possible.
Then I caught them. Got my sunglasses back.
And realised why most founders are exhausted:
You don't have a discipline problem.
You have a "this doesn't actually matter to me" problem.
Most founders are sprinting toward things they don't care about.
→ Meetings that drain you
→ Calls you dread
→ Goals that sound good but feel flat
→ Busy work disguised as progress
Then you wonder why you're burned out by Wednesday.
Your brain saves the full-speed energy for things that actually matter.
The problem? You've filled your calendar with things that don't.
Look at your schedule right now.
Would you sprint for what's on there?
If not, delete it.
Stop grinding toward goals that don't move you.
___
P.S. Tomorrow, I'm running a live workshop on how to align your calendar with what actually matters...
So you can reclaim 7-15 hours weekly and finish work with energy left over.
No more sprinting toward things you don't care about.
