The hottest summer on record (so far).

While the garden team carries on through the unrelenting extreme heat, the greenhouse gets a facelift. Mirai’s lead photographer emerges, and an icon of bonsai ceramics announces his retirement.

Ryan, Troy and Kauffman strategize how to maintain the growing workload of summer care as the hot hot heat persists. The challenges in the garden continue to grow as the climate continues to change.

Meanwhile, the greenhouse gets an interior architectural design update. Cedar panels flex to create walls and micro-spaces that are both functional and aesthetically refined.

Mirai’s lead photographer and self-proclaimed “tree portraitess”, Lani, shares some of her daily adventures in-studio and in the garden, where her unique perspective continues to evolve our visual identity.

Ron Lang, a maestro of bonsai ceramics, has announced his retirement. In celebration and recognition of his profound work, we are honored to be offering his final collection in our webstore.
