A fiery crash Wednesday morning shut down Interstate 80 lanes in Placer County, snarling the morning commute. California Highway Patrol traffic logs indicate a crash was reported shortly before 7:30 a.m. on westbound I-80 in the Loomis area. All westbound lanes are shut down, with traffic being diverted at Horseshoe Bar Road, while eastbound traffic is reduced to one lane, Caltrans cameras show. Traffic logs state that two vehicles crashed on the eastbound lanes, but because one of the vehicles went through the center divide, westbound lanes were shut down. Photos obtained by KCRA 3 show one of the vehicles was engulfed in flames. As of 8:35 a.m., CHP logs show that the No. 2 and 3 westbound lanes reopened.
