This episode starts with some satisfying cleanup: I correct the FM dial alignment, create and install a new FM dial pointer, and fix the AM pointer to get the dial system fully sorted. Then it’s on to the AM band mystery, which had us scratching our heads in the last video.
After some careful inspection and tracing the schematic, I uncover the issue—and, luckily, I’m able to salvage a suitable replacement part from an old donor chassis I had tucked away. And just like that, the AM bands are back in business!
There’s still more work to be done, but we’re getting close to wrapping up this restoration. Thanks for following along, and I’ll be back soon with the final episode.

The mystery of the missing AM bands is solved using schematic analysis and logical troubleshooting, leading to a successful repair using a salvaged part from a donor chassis. A rewarding update in the restoration of this classic German tube radio.
