On this episode of Adventures Into History, we return to the long-forgotten ghost town community of New Hope, Georgia, to solve a mystery of recently discovered stone ruins - and what happened here.

In a previous scouting mission, I discovered strange stone ruins near the river that raised more questions than answers. This time, I'm joined by Dan, Linda, William, and Briley as we go back into the woods to uncover the truth behind what these ruins really were.

In 1875, a devastating tornado tore through the New Hope community, and this cellar became a place of refuge for the Collins family. While much of the surrounding community was destroyed, these ruins helped save lives.

From there, the search continues.

Dan and I follow the riverbank and the woods in search of the old ferry crossing that once connected Georgia to Alabama across the Chattahoochee River.

This is part of a larger ongoing effort to document and preserve what remains of the New Hope community before it's lost forever.
