The Key to a good life is to answer the call to adventure, and I recently got back from Montreal for my fourth and final time for work, where I watched a crazy doc about space travel to take my mind off being stuck in a city with no wheels. Ive always been a fan of space and science in general, anyway, they were saying that the particular rocket being used would burn up to (36.91) thousand litres of fuel just getting to orbit. Owning a Nissan Frontier, I know the feeling of paying too much for fuel, haha. Now, Montreal obviously isn't that far away from home, so we won't be burning that much. Thankfully, we're flying. I wonder what a big jetliner would burn? Anyway, after a week in a concrete jungle out of province, it was time to head home to AB, grab the truck keys, load Zeus up, and point ourselves back toward the mountain forests. The goal? Get just a little closer to those stars and a little farther away from everything else. I had a pretty spooky night out here. Some nights, especially in the winter, you can really feel the isolation, but I think the key to a good night's sleep on those spooky nights is actually just simple earplugs. but by morning, it was just dirt roads, a campfire, and some good old-fashioned outdoor therapy.
So tonight we’re burning some wood and watching the sky.
