We came out here to camp… but this place has a story.

Back in the 90s, Baseline Mountain was a well-known downhill riding zone, steep, raw, and technical. Over time, as the race scene moved on, the trails faded, and the area nearly disappeared.

But it didn’t.

Local riders, led by Rory Johnson, stepped in and formed the Baseline Mountain Bike Club to protect and restore the area. Today, thanks to that effort, Baseline is being rebuilt and preserved for everyone who uses these mountain riders, campers, and explorers alike.

We might be out here for different reasons… but we’re all sharing the same ground.
