SOLO WINTER CAMPING IN MY HOMEMADE WHELEN STYLE HOT TENT | CAMPFIRE DUTCH OVEN CHILI
Well... I had to do it. Finally, freezing temperatures were forecast for my part of South Carolina, so I had to test out my homemade gear. I made a tent out of a Harbor Freight canvas tarp, a stove out of an old ammo can and a stove jack out of a welder's blanket. I'll set up my gear, my cot and give my 1965 Coleman lantern it's very first test while cooking up some chili in a LODGE Number 8 Cast Iron Dutch Oven.
Of course I'll use my Canteen Cup to prepare my breakfast but it's not Tuesday! đ

Brandon for the fatwood, Cheeze for the orange Buck knife and Arctic Canteen Cup, Nathan for the BEAST ferro rod, Eddie for the maple spoon and Military can openers, Bluefin for my new book, Dark for the cool pipe, Calvin for the arrow head I made my necklace out of, and Robert for the Coleman Lantern rebuild advice.... sorry if I forgot somebody!!! Dang, when ya get old it's hard to remember everything!!!
