I think this is all of the dungeons being redone in The Final Shape now. The run isn't great, nor the fastest, but it gets the job done. I wanted to use the Hunter loadout again that I had in the GM Exodus Crash ( youtu.be/ZqPNGbF-fMs ). Partly because it's very good, but mostly because it was already what I had on. First section I wasted a lot of time trying to get the knight to spawn, and final boss I probably should've 1 phased, but it was a simple enough 2 phase anyway.
Outside of this, I'll redo Presage as that's the featured exotic mission. There's a few other videos I'll hopefully have done over the weekend too. There's some other big projects I'm working on in the background, and other games I want to cover. Black Myth Wukong is coming up soon, and I plan to play that a lot.
With regards to D2, I usually refrain from commenting on the state of the game, but the recent changes have been pretty detrimental to my motivation and enjoyment of the game as a whole. The issues with Bungie aside, the choices being made in-game have taken a lot of motivation to play from me. The early Still Hunt nerf (the nerf was warranted, them stating it wouldn't be until the August patch and bringing it forward was not). Changes to exotic class items and the ability to farm them solo (I don't AFK farm, and the Overthrow chests are currently bugged, so it's significantly worse now and I've had the worst RNG with getting any decent drop, or non-duplicate for that matter). GMs being locked to a rotation of 3 per act (which was never communicated, but it's more unnecessary timegating). Envious nerf (any swaps now reset the Envious counter). The direction of every meta build now being heavily focused on melee speed-builds (hypocritical being what's used in this video, I know). And there's quite a lot more. It's hard to think of a time where I've seen change after change that's been something I haven't been fond of, but it is what it is.
Anyway, pointless rant aside, let's see what the rest of the episode has in store. Like I said, I never really comment on the state of the game, nor complain, but it's just been a little disappointing lately. Hopefully the final act and content that comes with it will make up for it.
Lastly, there's been a few comments asking about the master dungeons. I did them all last season, and there's not too much point to redo them at the moment (especially considering they're all on rotation for availability). At last, somewhere I can use the auto-loading Parasite that it actually functions decently well! Its something I wanted to build further into last season, with a auto-loading and recombination Mountaintop, but I never got one to drop. In this, the sidearm works decently well for the downtime, especially on an annoying to hit boss like the Wyvern.
The whole run was a bit sloppy though, as I havent done it since the master clear earlier in the year. I wasnt too bad with forgetting the node positions, but I couple of times I wasnt really paying attention to what I was doing. I also forgot to prioritise keeping Roaring Flames stacks up for the super until the second DPS phase of the final boss, and the first phase of the harpy boss I didnt proc Radiant, which wouldve made a pretty big difference. Even with those mistakes, it was a comfortable 3 phase and 4 phase, without much issue (even missing a good for Parasites). They could probably be cut down by another phase quite easily, even with this loadout. Either way, its a very simple way to get it done.

Destiny 2 Episode Revenant - Solo New Vespers Host Dungeon First Boss Fight Encounter Raneiks Unified on Contest Difficulty. Just a quick video showing the first boss fight encounter in the newly added dungeon during Episode Revenant. Details below.
Well, as I said on the normal mode version of this, I thought it was unlikely to be possible, but if it was it would be only be with things doing more damage than they should, or getting lucky with chunks. Previously I didnt have a single chunk attempt that got remotely close to doing the damage required, so I stopped putting in attempts after a good few hours. But this time around I finally got blessed by Bungie to give me the RNG for the damage requirements here, even though I changed absolutely nothing from all of my previous attempts. Outside of that the fight is just basically normal mode, and the entirety of the challenge is this hoping for damage chunks while spamming your super. The rest is very easy and consistent. I wish I could say I had a magic strat where I teleported up top a third time to get given extra damage, but it was me just simply not paying attention and forgetting the numbers from the first time. Or maybe that was the strat, who knows.
Credit to Snazzzy for showing you can get enough chunks to do this and getting it done first. I spent about 4 hours without any single damage phase giving me enough chunks myself, so I was just planning to leave it alone as I figured there wasnt enough there.
Anyway, Ill have a final compilation of the full solo contest up to the boss fight after this (as the final boss is straight up impossible), but happy enough with the rest of the clear. First encounter was a great challenge with no dupes, and at least I got to the end and was given the RNG to get this cursed fight done. RNG challenges with things out of your control just arent enjoyable to do. Ill also do the solo flawless later today.

Destiny 2 The Final Shape - Solo Crota Raid Boss in TFS / Solo Crota, Son of Oryx Finisher Glitch / Solo Crotas End Raid Final Boss Crota Encounter in CE Destiny 2. Just a quick video showing a solo clear of the Crota boss in the reprised Crotas End raid. Details below.
Since the release of The Final Shape, Ive had a few comments ask if this was still possible. And while I still needed some red borders from it, I figured I could make a quick and easy video before reset tomorrow.
This took me two attempts, as the first I didnt launch him far enough.
The whole thing for this is to launch Crota far enough by your finisher to have him fall off the map. If its only a small launch, hell respawn in the arena. It needs to get some distance. Tips on how to get this to work:
- Timing / position: You want Crota to be between you and the enemy, ideally facing towards the edge of the map you want to launch them. You want to use the finisher when Crota isnt slamming, or right before / as hes just started slamming you. It can work at other times and positions, but I found those to be the most consistent.
- FPS doesnt matter. Ive seen it done at 30-60, and Ive had over 200 with success.
- Finishers matter. Titan default, Scythe, and Valkyrian Impale I know work for sure. Theres others as well, but try one of those.
