The European Space Agency's Solar Orbiter mission dived toward the Sun, taking very high resolution images in the far ultraviolet from just 77 million km away. It saw the Sun is covered in small bursts of light they nicknamed "campfires", which may be long sought-after nanoflares predicted to exist.
