PROMAR aims to reduce the waste flows entering the Caribbean Sea, mainly plastic packaging and single-use plastics, and also to promote solutions based on the Circular Economy in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Colombia, the British Virgin Islands, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Suriname. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV).
