Libertarians are highly intelligent and logical people, yet we frequently fail to convince others and sometimes even alienate them away from liberty. Yelling libertarians platitudes at statists is fun, but it's not very effective. We often are too narrowly focused on argumentation and ignorant of human psychology. Only by understanding personality, esteem and status dynamics, the nature of images, idea space, and other facets of the human mind, and by acting in accordance with these insights, do we stand a chance at moving the people we know toward liberty. Influence, in other words, can be understood, practiced, and reliably executed into a new form of activism for us all.
