When AI can both write and edit, it forces a hard question about what a technical editor is actually there to do. Trail of Bits CEO Dan Guido put that question to his editorial team, and the answer reframed their role entirely. Rather than correcting grammar, they now build tools to handle the rote work automatically and focus instead on the harder problem of how to frame a story so it lands with the right audience.
