Today was a beautiful, busy day for the crew! We started off with some great news about Memphis! Her hock swelling has gone down significantly since starting physical therapy and laser treatments. It is so wonderful to see her feeling better and moving with more ease. After a quick morning check-in, Jamie and I headed about 45 minutes away to Atlanta, Michigan, to visit our family trailer.
This trailer has so much history; it belonged to my grandparents and has now officially been passed down to my dad. We spent the afternoon checking for damage from the ice storm, raking the yard, and exploring the beautiful views of Voyer Lake. We even found a natural spring and some tiny fish! It felt so good to be back in a place filled with childhood memories and to start planning how we can fix it up for more family adventures and camping trips with the RV.
We wrapped up the day by celebrating my dad’s birthday with some ice cream and heading home to our Siberian Huskies. Of course, the girls were a little "mad" that lunch was an hour late, but we made up for it with backyard playtime, "stompies," and some delicious birthday cake-flavored treats. Eleanor was even practicing her best "motor" start during her zoomies!
