Hi all, I'm finally playing Lords of the Fallen (2023). I waited until I got a better PC and once the early patches were out. Then it took me MONTHS to do editing on the playthrough because of life. But part 1 is out and the others will come out weekly.
Spoiler-free review of the game:
Lords of the Fallen is a very good Souls-like. My only major gripe I had was a lack of new surprising enemies towards the end of the game. Other than that, the exploration is great, the world interconnectivity is cool, the enemy and boss designs are awesome, the game feels fluid and dynamic, the QoL stuff is stuff that FromSoft should take notes on, the lore is rich and interesting to dig into, and it's just fun to play. I wouldn't put it on the same tier as Lies of P, it's great, but I don't think I'm dying to replay it like the best Souls games. I have tier list below in case you're curious about my preferences. If you've already played things in A and S tier, definitely check this game out. It's more like a B+ rank, very close to A tier. Lords of the Fallen performance was fine on my new PC, only minor hiccups, I think the patches did their job, but you may want to consider how old your PC is before looking into getting the game.

I think if you're looking for a super hard Soulslike that's more Bloodborne/Sekiro-like, best new Souls-like game to play is Lies of P. If you want something closer standard Dark Souls but faster with lots of good exploration and no crazy difficult bosses, this is great one for you. If you wanna play with friends, go play Remnant 2, best Co-op Souls-like.
