We've got the announcement of Call of Duty NEXT happening on September 15th. Supposedly they'll not just be talking about Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 which are releasing at the end of this year, but they'll also be talking about the franchise and the future of it as a whole. This is especially interesting considering that we've heard there is now going to be a "premium" CoD project released in 2023... while at the same time there have been rumors about CoD MW 2022 getting support for 2 years... Time will tell!
I'm personally hoping 2023 will be a Call of Duty Online-like project, combining all of the best of nearly 20 years of CoD history maps, weapons adn more. While getting multiple years of support from this moment on.
Considering it's hard for a company to give up a yearly hit of 70$ it's doubtful, but I'm hopeful, seeing as many free-to-play projects are incredibly succesful and CoD has the swaying power to make 1 heck of a power house!
