Winter is about to arrive in dramatic style in Japan! Every year frigid winds sweeps off Siberia, over the warm Sea of Japan, picking up huge amounts of moisture which then falls as massive snow storms over mountainous Honshu and Hokkaido.

I shot these scenes over the last 5 years in Niigata prefecture - enjoy!
