This is my first attempt at ambient music. After messing around with my Minimoog, I realized that I could create something with shifting chords if I were to continually retune the ocillators (however much of a challenge it may be, especially given that note functions might change from chord to chord). With the ability to switch the octave of each oscillator, there are infinite possibilities, but it’s hard to keep track of everything, so I created a score using color for the first time in order to keep track. The Moog is processed through the 4075 filter, Mimeophon, and Starlab. I also created two generative melodies by combining two rows of cv from the 0-CTRL and the 245t through the 257 voltage processor and then sending the results through a dual quantizer to get usable pitches (which I changed to a few different scales and added an offset at one point to get higher ranges). The sequencers, articulations, and all modulations come from the 266t Source of Uncertainty combined with the Ochd tuned LFOs so that all modulation and rhythmic movement is related (although certainly not in an obvious way). Anyhow, I hope you enjoy my first attempt at making some pretty hippie music. 😂 #moog #minimoog #makenoisemusic #tiptopbuchla #tiptopaudio #strymon #modularsynth #modularsynthesizer #electronicmusic
