We get hammered by the wind in the Bridgers then head to the Tobacco Roots to summit Hollow Top — the highest peak in Montana’s Tobacco Root Mountains. With steep terrain, unpredictable snow, and bulletproof crust under fresh powder, the climb tested everything from our gear to our grit. After navigating sketchy skin tracks and cramponing the crux, we hit dreamy powder turn. A hidden rock ended the descent with a scary fall — luckily, no breaks.
