The Beartooth Mountains are the epitome of high alpine hiking in Montana. This route is designed to traverse the entire Beartooth Range while staying as high as possible. It’s 90 miles long and almost entirely off-trail in very rugged terrain.
Since this route is almost entirely off-traill, progress is very slow and it was done in 2 parts. Part 2 is the second 45 miles of the route.
