I've been planning on covering this song for as long as I've been making music, and I actually made an attempt shortly after I uploaded my Smeared Graffiti PCE cover (which you can listen to here: youtu.be/PySdwTcOUpw )
But I gave up at the time because I deemed it too difficult, and I hope you can understand why just by listening...
But then I got the urge to cover it again recently and here it is! Took a couple of days' work but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out!
The original song uses all 8 of the SNES' sound channels, but the song is arranged in a way where there are only ever 6 channels playing anything meaningful at a time, so I didn't need to cut out pretty much anything from this cover, but it doesn't stop there, there were 2 channels playing the percussion through most of the song, so I crammed all of that into a single channel without much of a loss and voila! I got most of the song to play with only 5 channels, and the only times channel 5 was used for anything it was just for reverb, so if I cut it out to play sound effects it wouldn't even be that noticeable!
This is one of my favourite songs from this soundtrack, and I hope you enjoy my cover! ^^
