The Super Nintendo now runs minecraft even though the game came out nearly 20 years after the console’s release
Game of Tobi shared this Youtube video of a modified version of Minecraft built from the ground up for a Gameboy Color - originally, at least
The super-stripped-down terraria ripoff actually didn’t run too well on the Gameboy, so Tobi here made some adjustments, and banked on the SNES hardware to do a little more heavy lifting - and for the most part, it actually does
The game only runs a small map, and you can only do things like break blocks and place them - PLUS everything’s SUPER pixelated, even for minecraft - but at the very least you can now run Minecraft on official Famicom hardware - it’s even free to download
