Hello, happy new year, welcome to 2024 and my first video, a Snatcher Retrospective. Feel free to take a shot every time I say the word Snatch and let me know if you survive.

In this video I’ll be looking at the retro classic visual novel that has developed a massive cult following.

Published by Konami back when they still made games and released first for the MSX2 and later for the Sega CD, Snatcher is a neo noir cyberpunk adventure inspired by the likes of Blade Runner, Dune and The Terminator. Created by gaming auteur Hideo Kojima there is a strange mix of visual novel storytelling, puzzle solving and detective work and fighting for our life against killer body snatching robots all set against the backdrop of the dystopian neo Kobe city.

So let’s jump in and take a look at the hits and misses of one of the most original and strangest games of its time and see just how well it holds up today. Stick around until the end for a brief update on the channel and news of things to come.
