The nuclear division of the Martin Company produced this documentary in 1960 on behalf of the Atomic Energy Commission. The Systems for Nuclear Auxiliary Power (SNAP) program that developed was a program of experimental radioisotope thermoelectric generators. SNAP-III was a small atomic battery used by NASA and the U.S. Navy for satellites and probes in the 1960s.
