Input: green round handle to which the green chamfered lever is fixed. It is rotated 90 degrees intermittently by the operator.
The orange cylindrical cam is fixed to the blue single-tooth ratchet.
The green lever pulls the wheel thanks to the green spring. But one of the four spring latches prevents the wheel and cam from turning while it is in the tooth groove. The cam can only rotate when the blue lever pushes the latch out of the wheel tooth groove.
Output: yellow large cylinder to which a red pin is fixed. The red pin moves along the zigzag groove of the cam and the straight groove of the base.
Thus the output yellow cylinder has a straight motion. It only starts moving when the handle is about to stop. Its rapid movement occurs thanks to the force of the blue spring.
This mechanism can only operate when the handle is rotated clockwise.
It cannot operate in reverse mode (input: yellow cylinder, output: green handle).
