I used him twice, now to fuse him away...
Rules:
- This is a low level run of zombero's hardtype mod: romhacking.net/hacks/3299
- The aim is to keep XP gain as low as possible without affecting my sanity.
- Hard mode, obviously
- No stat boosting items
- All other game mechanics are fair game!
Hardtype changes:
- Clotho HP: 2000 → 5000
- Attack → Drain Attack
- Dia/Media/Diarama (?) → Megido
- Mediarama now heals considerably more
- Lachesis HP: 2000 → 5000
- Attack → Attack All
- Makakaja → Cadenza (Raises magic + accuracy)
- Atropos HP: 3000 → 6000
I was expecting more. AoE skills are a trap in this fight because the damage is just going to get healed off. The key is still to rush Clotho down, since she's the healer and also busts out Dekunda/Dekaja if you leave her alive too long. Her having Megido doesn't make much difference either. It's really weak and generally whiffs with speed buff stacks so Atropos doesn't get a turn. Despite the changes this was honestly one of the easiest fights in the mod so far.
Since it's an easy one, the Megidola upgrade at the end is essential. Not for the skill itself, but for its potential to upgrade to Hades Blast, which will need to be done before the final Specter fight. Life Surge was an unexpected bonus - I actually didn't mean to allow the skill change after I'd already gotten Megidola and was just button mashing too much, but fortunately it paid off!
