I collect the star "To Strum the Guitar..." using 0x A Presses. This is an improvement over the previous video which collected the star in 1x a press. You can find that video here: youtu.be/5oCsAeyEI1M
Since then I figured out that chuckya can actually grab Mario through floors. Initially I just had an idea and I tested it out and it seemed to work as I thought. Now the question was how would you do this in practice? Well lucky for us, Mad Musical Mess is one of the few levels where you can do the hat in hand glitch, this is useful to us because it lets us manipulate objects without modifying the HOLP. Thanks to this we can place a HOLP in Bob-omb Islands, and then grab chuckya light to throw him towards Mario so he grabs him through the floor!
Note: We can't simply just use the warp to get back to the guitar, because that would reset the hat in hand. This is why we use a pedro spot in order to get there. Also I am not sure if you can fly directly to the star from the pedro spot, I tried for a while and couldn't pull it off.

I collect the star Pole Jumping in 8 A Presses.
This star is stupid, poles are literally the worst thing, though this is the best for now until some other ways of getting up to the top is possible.
The A Presses are as follows:

#3: To sideflip to get to the chuckya
#4: To jump off the second pole
#5: To walljump to reach the third pole
#6: To jump off the third pole
#7: To walljump to reach the top

This is me collecting the Moving Target star in super mario star road with only 1 A press.

My way however uses VSC (Vertical speed conservation) in order to get up to a very high platform. From here you get more possibilities than just dive recovering your way over to the mainland. Therefore this strat has more room for improvement when it comes to other stars.

I collect The Flooded Cave using 0.5 A Presses. I discovered that you actually CAN make it up the little ledge in the cave, this makes saving 1 a press possible!
