In a wintry forest, where whimsy runs free,
Lived the Smotherfly, you shall soon see.
With wings of glass, like a gossamer dream,
It danced in the moonlight, or so it did seem.
Drawn to the smoke, like a curious hare,
Mistook it for wonder, a world so rare.
In fanciful twirls, it fluttered and twined,
Toward the thick toxins, a world undefined.
But, oh, the smoke, a treacherous spell,
Ensnared the Smotherfly, and none could tell.
In suffering, it wept, lost in despair,
In the shadows, it vanished...
A world so unfair...
