Melissa Clark is back in the studio kitchen for another round of Shortcut vs. Showstopper, where she makes a dish two ways: One is simple and one is a more challenging, best-ever take. In this edition, Melissa’s making … s’mores! First up: her Oven S’mores, which are made in a broiler and ready in five minutes. Then, she’ll make her S’mores Tart, which takes the elements of s’mores – marshmallows, graham crackers and melty chocolate – and recombines them in an elegant way. Instead of toasted marshmallows, you have a billowing meringue singed with a blowtorch. Which will you make? (Maybe both?) The choice is yours!
