Today I'm sharing four of my favorite fall themed old fashioned recipes! Can we say Pumpkin Spice Old Fashioned? The Old Fashioned recipe is a great gateway into whiskey cocktails for those who might find something like a sazerac or a manhattan too spirit forward. The Old Fashioned is not for the faint of heart, but it is a really easy recipe to adjust to your own tastes. If you like sweeter cocktails, play with the ratios and find the best version for you!

If you or your guests are new to old fashioneds, I’d suggest a 2:1 ratio of whiskey to syrup, and then dial the syrup back from there as you find the balance that suits your tastes.
Why? Because It’s bourbon season! Well… every season is bourbon season, but more people seem to opt for an Old Fashioned as soon as we hit sweater weather 😂
