Bought this clock from GW and you never really know the condition of the clock. After receiving the clock I didn't notice a smell, but the glass was really dirty looking. Shortly after I decided this clock went through a fire and was smoke damaged. Here I take the movement all apart for cleaning. Found 1 mainspring broken and no key. Tried to order them but they have been back ordered for a long while. Come learn what it took to get this clock up and working again with me.
Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not securing the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challenge of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
