What a fantastic glimpse of Belfast life in the 1940s!
Old Smithfield Market was absolutely buzzing — crowded shopfronts, busy traders, bargain hunters and those wonderful old cars lining the cobbled streets.
Just look at the crowds outside Andrews and all the little shops packed together. Smithfield was one of those places where you could find almost anything, have a chat, meet someone you knew and maybe come home with a bargain you never expected!
