Along with Pokémon Switch, Diddy's Forward-B allows characters to spawn items if they would normally come out on Frame 1.
Unfortunately, none of the characters seem to get much use out of it.
You're able to B-Reverse or turn them around, as well.
However, Final Smashes are also activated on Frame 1, but many of them are canceled in this scenario. Here's a list of characters that have their Final Smashes canceled:
Bowser, Chrom, Cloud, Diddy Kong, Dr. Mario, Greninja, Jigglypuff, Ice Climbers, Incineroar, Ken, King K. Rool, Kirby, Link, Little Mac, Lucario, Lucina, Mario, Marth, Meta Knight, Mewtwo, Mii Brawler, Palutena, Pichu, Pit, Pikachu, R.O.B., Robin, Roy, Ryu, Sheik, Snake, Zelda
Sheik and Zelda have some graphical issues afterward, but do not retain their Final Smash.
Ice Climbers fix the camera on themselves until they're put into the blast zone. Even after death, it becomes impossible to bring up the menu, so this is a soft-lock in Training Mode...
