I was waiting until I had either episode 8 done or completed the ending V2 before I posted this. But felt like posting a little something on my birthday today so here we go.

History repeats itself: I get a new capture card, it changes how my new episodes look, makes my OPs and EDs look gross, gotta go back and redo them so everything's uniform, woohoo.

The sequences are more focused. Can prolly discern what the basic plot is now. And yeah, sequences, as in plural. There is now a Bowser Version and a K. Rool Version of the opening from this point on, depending on who the episode focuses on more. King Bowser's will have the most mileage overall, I feel, but let King K. Rool cook... ;)

Since this whole project was a concept thought up for as long as "Project AF," I went through a number of possible songs I wanted to use. And after a while, I had decided to go with female vocals for the OP this time, so that's also a limitation I placed on myself. But, after listening to this song over and over and remembering how much I really liked the beat and feel of it back when I first heard it years ago, I firmly settled with it.

The original sequence I had made was fun to put together, but one comment that stood out to me was that they weren't exactly sure what the series was about through watching that alone. And I admit, compared to OG Smash King's OPs, it was a little lacking in that department. So for this 1080p remix, I chose to remove the rival teams to make room for a few character-centric clips and added Dedede in the mix to be the "goal" between the two reptilian kings. AND by deciding to give Bowser and K. Rool their own sequence, that allowed more elbow room between them. That's that Tales of Xillia inspiration there. It also features the one hard retcon of the show by changing out Luigi with Min Min for the Blunder-Busters. I may mention why that is in a later time.
