"Small things can shape enormous outcomes. A bit guides a horse. A rudder steers a ship. A spark can burn a forest. And in the same way, the small choices we make with our words — the wisdom we choose to live by — begin to plant something in the world.
God is not trying to manage our behavior. He’s not just trying to police our speech. He’s inviting us to draw from a different source. When God’s wisdom becomes our source, our words begin to change, our relationships begin to change, and over time, a harvest of righteousness grows.
The world knows how to start fires.
James invites us to plant fields."
