I am not sure if this is useful because although this method of getting this key is faster, if the water has to be lowered anyway for a speedrun, then this wouldn't be worth it except for perhaps a rare case in a bingo. But I thought it was pretty inventive and it looks cool.
Just hookshot clip throught the torch that i use in the video (the other one should work too) and equip kokiri boot and float up to the room witht he key (make sure not to enter the unloaded room right below the room with the key). Link can't open chests underwater the usual way, so you have to hookshot it and mash "A" and he should open it.
