I've been sending the 3D printed ornament mould systems out with a coupe of extra items that might look strange at first glance, but make it much more likely that you'll have immediate success with the casting process.
I dilute the mouldmaker's soap with equal parts water (if not more) to make it easier to brush on. You can add it to cold water and leave it overnight, but it'll dissolve much faster in warm water (for those of you who are too impatient to wait that long!)
