OPEN THE DESCRIPTION :
OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD. I discovered this today, while messing up with backwards dive speed. When you land from a dive and that you reach a speed of 0, you will do a kind of weird crouch that takes some time.
Though, if you adjust your speed while doing a wallkick or a TJ (the things you can do a dive while having any speed) and that you are able to do a dive that goes to 0 speed directly, well you will do the weird recover while in the air ! And you will be able to do some movement for 1 frame !!! That has a big potential in the B Button Challenge and in the 150 star TAS !

Here is another improvement of the Princess Secrect Slide ! By turning a bit more to the left at the beginning, it makes me able to hit the wall in a better position and earlier than before. Plus by doing that, we avoid the 5 coins and the other coin farther which makes us gaining 10 frames. And the slide itself was improved by 12 frames.

OMFG ! Credit to RingRush for reminding me that when losing a cap, you have a state where you constantly switch between Mario and Luigi and so you can do Luigi backflips as Mario.
By being really fast, Im also able to do another Luigi backflip, which saved the last wallkick, and I was simply able to reach the top with a backflip.

Ive accidentally noticed that the game doesnt check if the character is on ground when the animation of the ledge grab ends. This allows you to do the same moves as in a dive reset : jump, backflip, kick. This might not have any use as glitchy ledge grabs are only doable in a few parts that are usually not worth it, and a dive reset with Mario is a lot faster to do.

It has been a while since Really_Tall made a video (https://twitter.com/Really_Tall/status/935666699927523334) showing that we could do this star with the clip to get out of bounds, but the strat has never been TASed properly until now. Since we are currently re-thinking the 150 stars TAS route (nothing is perfect), were currently trying to know if doing BOB as Yoshi is faster than doing BOB as Mario. it was needed to get this star TASed as Mario to have proper material for the comparisons.

The strat with Luigi and his invisible ability has a time of 1278, and 1422 if we include having to put on Luigis cap from being Yoshi (which is what a BOB Yoshi route would do)

Yep, I had done 3 TASes of this star in the past but I still did another one lol. I knew that even though the general strat wouldnt change, I could optimize everything more accurately and save some frames. The 3 wall jumps up the rock are TAS-only as you need perfect timing and accurate touch screen directions.

The reason why I did another TAS of that star is because itll actually be done early in the 150 stars TAS, before even getting 30 stars, and while we are still testing some route orders for the upstairs section, I figured that this star didnt require RNG or anything so I could get it done and just copy the inputs later when we come to it in the full TAS.

This is a WIP of the Yoshis Island DS Any% TAS currently being made. I did this from scratch, saving 24 seconds over Taechuks work. The biggest time saves are doing 1-5 with Mario, and also then doing 1-6 without having to switch to Mario manually ; but also in general, optimization saved a lot of time.
I TASed everything apart from the chomp rock clip in 1-3 (done by Taechuk) because I couldnt figure out how to actually clip, and the first half of the boss fight in 1-8 (done by Hartmann).")

Edit : I saved 24 frames thanks to the touchscreen and the camera manipulation.
English :
This is a TAS of the volcano stars in LLL made for the 150 stars TAS. The strat is the same in both parts because I can longjump far enough to get the star Hot-Foot In Volcano. You can see, when I enter the volcano, then I landed on the little platform and performed a backflip. All i had to do is :
- Go out of the platform
- When you start falling, press down (or down-right)
- When you see Yoshi grabbing the pole, press : ^ + B + R
- Keep pressing Y and UP, and thats it !

Ceci est un TAS des 2 étoiles du volcan dans LLL (fait pour le TAS 150 stars). Le strat est le même dans les 2 parties car je peux longjump assez loin pour avoir létoile Hot-Foot In Volcano. Vous pouvez voir que, dès que jentre dans le volcan, ensuite jatterris sur la petite platforme et je fais un backflip. Tout ce que javais à faire cest :
- Aller en dehors de la platforme
- Quand vous commencez à tomber, pressez BAS (ou BAS-DROITE)
- Dès que vous voyez Yoshi saccrocher au poteau, pressez : ^ + B + R
- Gardez Y et HAUT enfoncé, et voilà !

Frames saved :
- 38 frames by using the super-velocity at the beginning instead of before the triple jump (thanks Really_Tall)
- 18 frames due to the use of the D-Pad after the triple jump (which make us running superfast
- 8 frames in the battle (i dont know why lol)
- 2 frames (not directly in the star) due to 1 less coin taken (2 coins instead of 3)
66 (64) frames saved IN TOTAL
Btw i hope i dont have to redo this star anymore lmao
