Tool-Assisted. In SM64, this star is currently only doable with 1 A press (using the flyguy). Similar to how Mario and Luigi teamed up, this video came from the mind of pannenkoek2012 while I handled the TASing (throwback! youtube.com/watch?v=_5TZsjzDzk8).

Task 1:
Enter Dice-Fortress, break four (4) YELLOW ! boxes, then get any star.
Due: Monday, July 4th.
First place. Note, this is not the best route. SilentSlayers beat me to the first yellow box by 14 frames. However, my LJ + TJ strat ended up being faster than his Sideflip + TJ strat. We slide kicked off of the green wall on the same frame, but my ground pound on the last box was slightly faster than his ending strategy. I only won by 5 frames.")

Im pretty sure this is a new glitch. The only videos I could find on it used a gameshark code. I thought it was worth an upload, enjoy and thanks for watching! =) Also, I tried to show that Koopa still died after re-obtaining his shell.

Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!! I got this idea one night and decided it would make a fun video. The first clip is a weird death glitch I found. The second one is a glide-cancel then epic double jump/dive, and the third is just picking up a star. I guess the slow-mo is how Mario felt after finding all that crack...
Notes:
- I hacked the ROM to add a fly-guy at the top of the stage.
- Marios speed was MHSd to 1200 the frame before hitting the fly-guy.
