Testing the high frame rate capture on the Sony DSC RX100 VI (M6)
Most of these are at full optical zoom, some at 24mm.
All outdoor shots are handheld except the water into the glass.
Sound was recorded with the RX100 V (M5) and slowed down for affect, the HFR mode does not record sound.
Lightning is one of the hardest things to capture. Using the different trigger points with HFR was key like Start, Middle, or End trigger.
Still it was difficult to capture, but not as hard as trying to take a picture. After a little practice I was able to get the hang of it. This feature does require practice, focus on the subject and make and manual changes first before setting it to standby and capturing the shot.

Inspirations for trying slomotion in this video are The Slow Mo Guys and BeyondSlowMotion. I do have a new found respect for these channels and other slowmotion channels that capture more then 120FPS video.
Despite the cameras they use being on a completely different level and might capture 8 seconds with a lot more power, it’s still not easy. Most setting I used was capturing 1.5 to 2 seconds of video.

Main settings used noted at the bottom of the video. Not all manual setting are noted like focal point, metering mode, and aperture or shutter priority. This would be different depending on what you are capturing and the lighting conditions.
If any post editing was done it was only sharpening added to some clips.
