UPDATE: New firmware was released:
Most recent update is they have released one version of a new firmware, this has corrected some of the issues with audio/video syncing but not all, and not for everyone. May depend on the device you have them paired with?
Be sure to update the firmware first before pairing them to any devices.you can do this from a computer and not the mobile app, it’s way faster. youtu.be/QfDsuP8O0TA
They have a 30 day trial period, update them, try them, test them for how you would use them in this trial period and decide for yourself.
Most of the apps that that had audio out of sync with the video now work, or the delay has been significantly improved. I’m still following the thread on the support site listed below.
I bought another pair in December (I really liked the lime color ones) and tried the update, but for someone having to edit video down to split milliseconds this delay doesn’t work for me. Some say the firmware did improve the delay other say it didn’t. It was a little better for me, just good enough for how I mainly use them. Read the comments in the Bose support thread URL (link down below) and decide for yourself. I still believe they were the best comfort and best sounding wireless earbuds I have ever tried to date.
I also never experienced the left ear cut out with either firmware, some people have. I can’t say what the differences are, maybe testing environment and signal interference? My range was good walking away 2 stories in my house. But I also wasn’t in a gym with 30 other Bluetooth headsets all running at the same time. So your mileage may vary.
UPDATE: November 13, 2017
I’ve downgraded my review and retracted some of my initial thoughts.
They released a new firmware, I bought another pair and still not fixed completely with iOS and some other devices. You can follow and check their updates when they rarely post in this link:

I’ve also tried the Bragi Dash Pro’s, and the E&O E8’s-, starting to think they all use the same chipset and I should wait for hardware version two before I start testing these again.
If you want to see my written review of these three headsets check out this post:

I would have settled for the E8’s if they stayed in my ears, but one would fall out immediately. Neither have as good of a range in sound as Bose, but I expected that with the Bose being bigger and having a bigger speaker.
Those who have been subscribed for a while know I test nearly everything I review for a month. Then you also probably know part of my recommendations are based on the company and sometimes specific sellers and customer service.
As a reviewer I have to sometimes change my recommendations based off the manufacturers and companies responses to issues.
As of now, I need to update my recommendation for this product with a warning. Watch the video for the full story and understanding how I am changing my thoughts about the Bose SoundSport Free Bluetooth Headset.
