Practicing slow living in winter is different than any other season. There's just something about the snow that really calms me down and relaxes me.

Being in awe of nature is a shortcut to becoming more present. A slow and mindful winter morning hike helps me to notice the beauty that surrounds us. In both the forest and mountains.

I’ve recently embraced the slow living lifestyle. I want to be more present in the moment, be more mindful with my time. And going on walks is a great slow-life practice!

The snow turns the mountains into a magical winter wonderland. For me, it inspires a sense of wonder. That is why I love to go on a hike after a snowfall. Making my way into the forest, I try to practice “shinrin-yoku”, a Japanese concept that translates as “forest bathing”. It’s about immersing yourself in nature, taking in the forest through your senses.
