Guys, after some digging, i found a much simpler way to get this star in 0 a presses, it may or may not be quicker. (it probably is)

I think it is possible to do it in 2 a presses if you take the a press from jumping while sliding and using to ground pound where the box is, though i could never get QUITE enough distance. another a press if its possible to frame walk up the mountain, looked too steep for me to want to try, frame walking is really hard to do on the mountain anyway.
