After many years of chipping away at it, my 8-bit cover of Sleep’s monolithic masterpiece Dopesmoker is finally finished.
This one means a lot to me. Not just because Dopesmoker is sacred ground, but because this is by far the longest 8-bit cover I have ever produced. Seeing it through from start to finish took patience, obsession, and a whole lot of love for both the source material and the strange little world of 8-bit music.
One of my biggest hobbies is creating 8-bit covers, taking massive, complex songs and reimagining them through a tiny digital lens. This one pushed me harder than anything I have done before, and I could not be more proud of how it turned out.
