Pixar's first feature with a female centered character. Did it pay of great?

It was suppose to be longer and also play with the "speaking bear" thing (BTW, I once made this video over a decade ago: youtube.com/watch?v=5iHZRhNUzeI ). But after yet one more funeral visit before cremation, a sleepy head, a slight headache, and a big meal out, had me scrap that and replace it with this.
