Skylanders Trap Team was released October 5, 2014 in North America on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
Skylanders Trap Team was the fourth video game in the series and introduced a new gaming mechanic where players could defeat and trap the villains in the game and then play as them or store them in a vault.
Skylanders Trap Team introduced the following new 'Trap Masters' into the universe: Blastermind, Bushwhack, Enigma, Gearshift, Gusto, Head Rush, Jawbreaker, Ka-Boom, Knight Light, Knight Mare, Krypt King, Lob-Star, Short Cut, Snap Shot, Thunderbolt, Tuff Luck, Wallop and Wildfire.
Skylanders Trap Team also introduced new core figures into the universe and game including: Chopper, Food Fight, Torch, Bat Spin, Blackout, Blades, Cobra Cadabra, Déjà Vu, Echo, Fist Bump, Fling Kong, Flip Wreck, Funny Bone, High Five, Rocky Roll, Spotlight, Trail Blazer and Tread Head.
Skylanders Trap Team also featured Eon's Elite figures, Skylanders Trap Team Minis and re-posed figures from past games. Overall this Skylanders video game was very polished and had plenty of fun new ideas added to the already established Skylanders video game franchise.
