'Dragon Lord' is a martial arts movie from 1982 directed and starring Jackie Chan. 'Dragon Lord' was recently released on Blu-ray by Shout Factory as part of the Jackie Chan Collection Volume 1.

Shenanigans and hijinx is the best way to describe 'Dragon Lord' at least for the first hour. It’s all about Jackie and Mars trying to pick up girls and doing sporting events like some sort of hacky sack tournament and ‘kill the carrier’ type competition.

The third act of the movie is when things really get to shine and shows Jackie Chan’s skill as a performer and a director. The fight scene inside of the factory going up and down the stairs is really pretty fun and entertaining, and doesn’t pull any punches.

The hacky sack or shuttlecock sequence is entertaining enough and interesting to watch however, there’s no dramatic push behind that nor the intro scene with the stacked tower.
