SKL Khwai (Northgate) is situatied in the Moremi game reserve in Northern Botswana, around 2 and a half hours’ drive from Maun.
The Moremi Game Reserve is just under 5,000 square kilometres, covering much of the eastern side of the Okavango Delta and combining permanent water with drier areas.
Its habitats are surprisingly diverse, combining mopane woodland and acacia forests, floodplains and lagoons. It is home to nearly 500 bird species, and a vast array of other species of wildlife including lion, leopard, elephant and letshwe.
At Khwai you’ll also find the Northgate bridge, iconic to overlanders.
